  6. Alarm is an easy-to-use but full-featured alarm system for Windows. It allows the user to set an
  7. unlimited number of alarms with reminder notes attached to them. Alarms may be scheduled to
  8. recur at pre-defined (or post-defined) intervals.  Its install program will place its icon in your
  9. startup group.
  10.  
  11. The program also features a SNOOZE interval function, and the ability to modify an existing
  12. alarm.  It uses Windows multimedia capabilities to play customizable sounds (WAV, MID, and
  13. AVI) for alarms, and can also launch programs.

  15. Some of the features in Alarm that may be of interest include:

  17. * Recurring alarms:  Once, daily, weekdays, weekly, monthly, annually, and custom recurrence
  18. * Recurring alarms can have a termination date ("Repeat until:")
  19. * Per alarm customizable "Don't remind after x minutes"  (Range: 0-999)
  20. * Day of week display when setting alarms
  21. * Customizable alarm note fonts and colors
  22. * Calendar control for selecting dates
  23. * An unlimited number of alarms
  24. * An unlimited number of collections of alarms (files)
  25. * WAV, MID, and AVI alarms sounds (and images), which can be individually set for each alarm; select via Browse Button or drop down listbox.
  26. * Alarms always editable
  27. * Configurable snooze time, determined per alarm, after alarm has fired
  28. * Snooze for up to 999 minutes, hours or days
  29. * Large alarm note field:  up to 2,147,483,647 characters
  30. * Note field is always editable
  31. * Always-on-Top option
  32. * Status bar and dockable toolbar
  33. * Context-sensitive help
  34. * Screen location memory
  35. * It's not interpreted (like Visual Basic code); it's compiled.  On most systems, there will be a perceivable speed difference.
